Ghana's 'do well' target hasn't changed - Nyantakyi

President of the Ghana Foot­ball Association, Kwesi Nyan­takyi has told Finder Sports that the 'Dark Stars' focus of "doing admirably" at the progressing African Cup of Nations hasn't changed de­spite Ghana qualifying to the semi­finals of the competition.

The FA President says he appreci­ates the way that the "do well" target is liable to different translations, additionally says "doing admirably' incorporates winning the trophy.

"We haven't reconsidered the target. The target is the same. It is to do well, and that incorporates winning the trophy. I demand that at the time of aiming to get the competition, it was quite reasonable to situated a sensible target in view of the late arrangement of the mentor. In the event that we don't win the trophy, we will survey the variables mindful and make a move, yet we are not precluding the possibil­ity of winning a definitive," Nyan­takyi told Finder Sports.

Ghana has busy a spot in the semi-finals of the 2015 AFCON in the wake of beating Guinea 3-0 in the quarter-fi­nals last Sunday.

The Black Stars now play Equato­rial Guinea on Thursday, February 5 in Malabo, and a win for the Stars will mean a date in the last with either DR Congo or Ivory Coast.

The Black Stars are pursuing a fifth Nations Cup crown and a first trophy in the most recent 33 years.

Ghana's last Nations Cup triumph came in 1982  in Libya.
