CAF president mourns Super Eagles ouster
President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Alhaji (Dr) Issa Hayatou has insisted that disappointment to fit the bill for the 30th Africa Cup of Nations
has not lessened the criticalness of Nigeria to the whole structure of African football.
In a talk with President of Nigeria Football Federation, Mr. Amaju Melvin Pinnick after the Draw Ceremony for the title in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea
on Wednesday, Hayatou conceded that the whole African football family will miss the Super Eagles at one year from now's finals.
"The entire of Africa will miss Nigeria in Equatorial Guinea. At the same time the nonappearance won't in any capacity lessen your stature as an enormous and persuasive country in the African diversion.
"It would have respected have the guarding champions here. Nigeria brings such a great amount of worth to the Africa Cup of Nations. Then again, we realize that you will return much stronger, as you did in winning the Cup in South Africa a year ago in the wake of passing up a great opportunity of the 2012 title."
Africa's football supremo likewise praised the imperativeness and endeavor that the young Amaju Pinnick will bring to Nigeria's football organization, while formally inviting him to the African football crew.
"I am glad to see somebody like you assume responsibility of Nigeria football. I have constantly known you right from Nigeria '99 World Youth Championship to the African Women Championship finals in Delta State in 2002 and 2006. I know your dynamism and limit and I trust you will convey for Nigeria football.

Pinnick was the most youthful head of National Association at the Draw Ceremony held in Malabo on Wednesday.
